Good quality and good price

The original door latch, of mysterious origins, fell victim to a clumsy visitor's carelessness. A local blacksmith's attempt to repair it proved short-lived, as it succumbed to damage once more within a year. Determined to find a lasting solution, we invested in this latch, which has now faithfully guarded our historic home for several years. Its classic, uncomplicated design seamlessly blends with our property's vintage aesthetic. Remarkably sturdy, the latch has endured the occasional rough handling without compromise, consistently functioning with reliability. Good except for the fitting screws

The latch serves its purpose adequately for the cost, but the inferior slotted screws complicate the installation process more than necessary. Discarding them and opting for Pozidriv or Phillips alternatives is advisable.
